Overview

A ritual, words from a long-forgotten language. In 2018, an Egyptian mother fights in court for the fundamental rights of her daughter who was born out of wedlock. The film is inspired by this event. With great tenderness and sensitivity, Birth interweaves the story of this struggle with images of an archaic birth ritual.
