Watching: Letters to the Lost

Overview

In a field of orange flowers, a woman heeds a call to a non-place where, overwhelmed by grief and surrounded by mysterious entities she recognizes, she must reflect on the here and now, what she’s lost, and what’s keeping her alive. Letters to the Lost is an animated short film—based on a series of letters written by the director and important women in her life—where, in order to leave pain and death behind, one must choose to live.
